How is child support (alimony) calculated in Uzbekistan?
Child support for minor children is generally set as a share of the paying parent's income:
- One child — 1/4 of income;
- Two children — 1/3 of income;
- Three or more children — 1/2 of income.
Support can be arranged by a notarised agreement between the parents or awarded by a court. If the payer has no regular income or it varies, the court may set support as a fixed sum.
